Powder / Ombré Brows

A soft, filled brow finish that lasts 2–3 years — and suits every skin type.

Powder brows at Shaded & Bladed in Tulsa, OK use a digital PMU machine to build a soft, airbrushed brow finish that lasts 2–3 years. Sessions start at $400 and include a 6–8 week touch-up. The technique is ideal for oily, mature, and all other skin types, and produces a defined, polished look.

What it is

The "no-makeup" brow that always looks done.

Powder brows use a digital PMU machine to build soft, pixelated color across the brow — similar to brow powder or a perfectly applied pencil, but permanent. The ombré variation fades from almost nothing at the front to deeper, defined color at the tail.

This technique is a great match for oily skin, mature skin, and anyone who wants a more polished, defined look over a natural hair-stroke effect. Candra, a Licensed Medical Micropigmentologist and PhiBrows Certified Artist at our studio on Memorial Drive in Tulsa, customizes the color and gradient to your exact features.

Frequently asked questions

How long do powder brows last?+

Powder brows at Shaded & Bladed last 2–3 years. The shaded technique holds color well over time. Sun exposure from Oklahoma summers, oily skin, and skincare products with acids or retinol can shorten retention. Annual color boosts keep results looking polished between full sessions.

Are powder brows a good option for oily skin?+

Yes. Powder brows are especially well-suited for oily skin types. The shading technique holds up much better on oily skin than hair-stroke methods. If you have naturally oily skin or find that brow makeup doesn't stay on well, powder brows are the right choice. Results look clean and defined regardless of skin type.

What is the difference between powder brows and ombré brows?+

Powder brows produce evenly shaded color across the brow. Ombré brows use the same technique but fade from very light at the front to deeper color at the tail, creating a gradient effect. Both use a digital PMU machine. We customize the gradient based on your preference and natural brow structure.

What does the healing process look like for powder brows?+

Powder brows appear significantly darker immediately after the session — this is normal. Over the next 10–14 days, color softens and may look lighter than expected. By weeks 4–6, the true healed color emerges. Your touch-up at 6–8 weeks finalizes the result and adds saturation where needed.
